May 30 Pier Performance Cancelled

Good Morning, Rounders!!

By now you may have seen or heard that the Pier opening for May 30th has been postponed. In a letter from the city to me this morning, it was stated that there has not been any decision as to when the May 30th replacement date will be held. The only thing we DO know is that the July 4th major opening is still scheduled and planned as it has been for quite some time. Time will tell how this all plays out.

As a result of the May 30th cancellation, the Rounder practice set for May 26th has also been cancelled.

OUR JUNE 30TH FULL BAND PRACTICE IS STILL SCHEDULED AT THE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IN PINELLAS PARK TO PREPARE FOR THE JULY 4TH PIER PERFORMANCE WHICH IS STILL SCHEDULED FOR THAT MORNING.

These are very uncertain and difficult times for families, businesses, and situations far more serious than the Pier opening or our performance. While disappointing, we all know the far bigger concern is that each of us, our families and friends survive this financial and medical nightmare and can resume our normal routine of living as soon as possible. Once that happens the Rounders horn will toot once again.

I know all of us miss each other, our Rounder experience, the music and visual excitement that comes from many becoming one in a common musical cause. I know I miss picking on the trombones….

Stay in shape. Keep on top of the music and routines learned this spring. We'll keep you posted for whatever happens.

Nearing 39….the legend continues….
